I never thought I would be writing about this topic today in my newsletter, I can assure you of that! As many of you already know, I love my family and they always come first. However, in my opinion this next story takes it to a new level…
To give you a little background first. I have two wonderful children, Ally and Jason, with my wife Debbie. My wife and I have tried to provide for them their entire lives and give them everything they needed to succeed. It has been a huge sacrifice and a privilege to be able to do this for our children!
From the day they were born, my wife and I did the Florida Prepaid Program as well as start 529 plans for them. We were fortunate enough to be able to afford, barely, private school for each of them all the way up to High School, Undergraduate School at University of Miami and George Washington University, Graduate School at University of Miami and George Washington University and finally Law School at Duke.
Needless to say, we are ready for our kids to “fly the nest” so we can enjoy each other over the next several decades. That was the plan…until today!
Today, I ended up being volunteered as my daughter’s “model” for a certification in Botox! Needless to say, I tried to find as many other people to do this instead of me, but no one would do it!! My wife and my daughter decided I was in need of it and I would be the perfect model.
As a good soldier (husband and father), I reluctantly agreed. Well, as I am writing this article, I am having the “procedure” done. It is never fun to hear someone say “am I doing this right” after they already stuck me with the needles!! Or hearing her tell me to “get out of the way” as she is giving me the needle, lol!
Guess what? I survived!! I will tell you that I do not like needles and it was a little uncomfortable getting it done on my forehead, eyebrows and crow’s feet. The best way I can describe it is it felt like “bee stings” all over my face!
In the end, I took it like a trooper and you can see the before picture attached and we will see in a few weeks how it changed. Ally did a great job and I am very proud to say that I will forever be known as the “first” aesthetics patient for my daughter’s long future career…
As always, be safe and live well!
