Passenger In Car When Driver Has No Insurance
Hey everybody, Andy here. The question of today is if I’m in a car accident and the person that caused the accident doesn’t have auto insurance, what do I do?
I’ve talked about this in the past but I want to make sure you understand this. Your options are as follows.
Number one, if the person that caused the accident doesn’t have any auto insurance and you’re hurt we can’t really go after them. There’s no insurance coverage. You could try and sue them personally, but usually, if they don’t have auto insurance they probably don’t have assets to go after so you might be at sol on that respect as well, so the only real option to do at that point is make sure you have UM protection which stands for uninsured motors protection through your insurance it’s meant for that specific situation again this is complicated stuff uh you should really seek an attorney when you’re in an auto accident to protect yourself please call me at 954-755-7803. If you have any questions as always check out all my social media sites and always check out askandylegal.com with lots of free information.
Thanks everybody!
